I have lived in Colorado since 1987, but am a third generation Californian and the bulk of my family still resides in the north of the state. I have two sons, and my husband and I live with them in Fort Collins, Colorado.
My education includes degrees from the University of Santa Barbara – 1984, BA, English, the University of Southern California – 1987, MPW (Master Professional Writing), and Colorado State University – 1989, MFA (Masters Fine Arts). I taught at the university level, in various English departments as a contract lecturer, for over ten years, while freelancing. I now write full-time.
Since 2004, I have written a weekly commentary column called Grace Notes. The subject matter is wide and varied. I am lucky that this flies, as I “get” to write about almost anything I wish.
I invite you to stick around on this website, to comment, or to subscribe; I’d be honored to have you read more.
